Description
Domaine des Deux Fontaines, also known for its Fleurie, works with Gamay on the granite hillsides of northern Beaujolais, with HVE certification and in conversion to organic farming.
Its Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau is a primeur wine: harvested at the end of summer and vinified quickly to preserve the fruit, it is bottled a few weeks later. The Beaujolais-Villages appellation, further north and on more granitic soils than Beaujolais, produces slightly more structured primeurs, while remaining supple and thirst-quenching.
Expect a bright ruby colour, a nose of cherry, raspberry and redcurrant with a floral touch, and a juicy palate with light tannins.
2026 vintage – official release on Thursday 19 November 2026. Beaujolais Nouveau may only be handed over to customers from the third Thursday of November: you can reserve it now, and it will be shipped or delivered from that date.
Serve between 12 and 14 °C, with a board of Lyonnais charcuterie, fresh cheeses, roast chicken or a quiche. Best enjoyed in the months following its release.
