Description
Côte du Ventoux AOP – La Camarette – Rosé is an emblematic cuvée of the fresh, elegant and authentic style the Ventoux appellation can offer. Nestled on the foothills of Mont Ventoux, the estate grows its vines on sun-drenched clay-limestone soils, cooled by altitude and regular breezes, giving the grapes a slow, balanced ripening, ideal for producing aromatic, lively rosés.
Made from a classic blend of southern grape varieties – mainly Grenache, Syrah and sometimes Cinsault – this rosé is made by direct pressing, after an early-morning harvest to preserve freshness and primary aromas. The must is cold-settled, then fermented at low temperature in stainless steel tanks, without malolactic fermentation, to retain all the tension and aromatic purity of the wine. The wine is aged on fine lees for a few weeks, giving the palate a subtle texture.
Visually, the wine shows a pale, brilliant colour with slight salmon-pink hints. The nose is intense, evoking notes of wild strawberry, redcurrant, honeydew melon and wild flowers. The palate is lively and balanced, carried by lovely freshness and a saline finish that prolongs the pleasure.
