Côte du Ventoux AOP – La Camarette – White perfectly embodies the freshness and finesse of the high-altitude terroirs of the southern Rhône Valley. This typical blend of southern grape varieties – mainly Grenache blanc, Roussanne, Viognier, Rolle and Marsanne depending on the vintage – highlights the bright, mineral identity of the Ventoux appellation.
Grown on clay-limestone soils that enjoy generous sunshine, the vines benefit from the freshness brought by the altitude and the winds of Mont Ventoux. The La Camarette estate, committed to sustainable, environmentally friendly viticulture, works without synthetic chemicals, favouring local biodiversity.
The grapes, hand-picked at dawn to preserve their freshness, are gently pressed before cold static settling. Fermentation, carried out in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, preserves a pure aromatic expression. After fermentation, the wine is aged on fine lees for several months, with occasional lees stirring, adding breadth while preserving liveliness.
On tasting, the colour is pale and bright, with a slight golden tint. The nose is expressive, with aromas of white flowers, citrus (lemon, grapefruit) and a touch of fresh almond. On the palate, the attack is lively and precise, with a light yet structured texture, and a saline, mineral finish that pleasantly prolongs the tasting.
