Description
Yamakasi 2022 – Domaine Duseigneur is a Vin de France cuvée that embodies the free, innovative spirit of the estate, while following a rigorously artisanal approach. Made from old Grenache and Syrah vines, this red wine with a confident identity explores a raw, living expression of the fruit, respecting the grape and the soil, without artifice or standardisation.
The vineyard, farmed according to the principles of biodynamics, thrives on poor soils made up of sand, rounded pebbles and red clays typical of the southern Rhône. All vineyard work is done by hand, without herbicides or synthetic products, with deliberately limited yields to encourage concentration and balance.
The 2022 harvest was picked at perfect ripeness, then vinified naturally: no added yeasts, no enzymes and no sulphites during fermentation. Vinification in concrete vats, with short macerations, aims to preserve the crunchiness of the fruit and the freshness of the juice. Ageing is short (a few months), in vats only, to retain all its aromatic spontaneity and avoid any oaky imprint.
On tasting, Yamakasi 2022 reveals a bright red colour with violet glints, an intense nose of fresh red fruit (redcurrant, cherry, raspberry), underlined by a light peppery and floral touch. The palate is juicy and delicious, with a supple, easy-drinking texture, supported by a fine acidity that lengthens the finish. The tannins are fine, almost silky, and the overall impression is that of a living, vibrant wine that speaks to the palate with sincerity.
Food & wine pairings: perfect with a board of fine charcuterie, plant-based bistronomic cooking, grilled white meats or simply as an aperitif with friends.
