Description
The Villa Amélie cuvée from Château Saint-Estève, in the heart of the Corbières, expresses the quest for a balance between richness and liveliness.
Made as an IGP Pays d’Oc, this blend of Chardonnay (bringing structure and roundness) and Rolle (Vermentino) (offering freshness and aromatic tension) is aged for about four months in barrels to gain complexity without losing its brightness.
On tasting, the colour is pale with golden glints. The nose opens on aromas of white flowers, peach and candied lemon, with a discreet touch of vanilla from the ageing. The palate, broad and balanced, unfolds a silky texture supported by a saline minerality typical of the Mediterranean terroir of Saint-Estève.
The finish, long and fresh, evokes the garrigue and the sea breeze.
Serving: 10–12 °C
Food pairings: grilled fish, shellfish, roast poultry, Mediterranean cuisine.

The perfect balance for this dry white, with the originality of the Vermentino grape, more often found in Italy but which expresses itself wonderfully in the Corbières!
