VDF – Les Chemins de Bassac – Incandescente rosé is a carefully crafted wine that reflects the essence of the terroirs of southern France. This rosé is a blend of local grape varieties, carefully selected for their ability to produce elegant, fruity wines. The grapes benefit from a clay-limestone terroir that favours slow, balanced ripening, thus preserving the wine’s freshness and aromatic expression.
The vines are grown using environmentally friendly methods, with careful management and minimal intervention. This yields healthy grapes bursting with flavour, while preserving the estate’s biodiversity. The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness to guarantee impeccable quality.
The winemaking process begins with a gentle pressing of the grapes, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. This process preserves all the freshness and purity of the rosé’s aromas, without malolactic fermentation, in order to retain the liveliness and primary fruit flavours.
The wine is then aged on fine lees for several weeks to give it a light, pleasant texture on the palate. This also enhances the wine’s complexity while retaining its fruity character.
Visually, Incandescente rosé stands out with its pale, bright colour and salmon-pink hues. On the nose, it releases an explosion of fresh red fruit such as strawberry, raspberry and cherry, with delicate floral notes that add an extra touch of freshness. On the palate, the attack is clean, followed by a lovely roundness balanced by well-integrated acidity, giving the wine a refreshing liveliness and an elegant, slightly mineral finish.
