Description
The exposure of Clos les Montys and its exceptional terroir (shallow
soil strewn with sandstone over a bedrock of amphibolite and
metagabbro) give the vine an unusual precocity.
Indeed, it is one of the first to unfurl its leaves in
spring. Paradoxically, this so-called “green rocks” terroir
gives us thick-skinned grapes (thanks to the calcium)
that do not deteriorate and can be harvested quite late. These
two phenomena give us a very long
ripening phase and therefore a fleshy,
structured Muscadet, a Muscadet for ageing
