Description
Méditerranée IGP – Domaine de la Camarette – Red is an emblematic cuvée of southern conviviality, made from a blend typical of the south of France, generally composed of Grenache, Syrah, and sometimes Carignan or Mourvèdre, depending on the vintage. Farmed with respect for living things, the vines are planted on clay-limestone hillside soils, benefiting from generous sunshine and steady winds that keep the grapes in excellent health.
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, often by hand to preserve the integrity of the berries. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, with a traditional maceration of 10 to 15 days to extract colour, fruit and structure. Fermentations are carefully controlled to favour fruitiness and suppleness. Maturation, also in stainless steel tanks, lasts several months to preserve the wine’s freshness and aromatic purity, with no oak.
This red has a deep, bright ruby colour. The nose is expressive, dominated by notes of red and black fruit (cherry, blackberry, plum), accompanied by a touch of sweet spices and a light hint of liquorice. On the palate, the attack is supple, with round, smooth tannins. The whole is gourmand and balanced, with great drinkability, typical of IGP Méditerranée wines.
