Corbières AOP – Château Saint-Estève – Delicea – red

Description

Délicea is a red AOP Corbières wine produced by Château Saint-Estève, owned by the Latham family. This wine comes from a blend of Grenache and Carignan, grown on sun-drenched vines protected by the mountain wind.

The grapes are harvested by hand, then vinified traditionally with a short maceration of about 12 days. Ageing on fine lees in tank for 2 months requires daily attention to preserve the wine’s aromatic finesse.

Délicea has a deep colour with purple glints. On the nose, it offers aromas of ripe small berries. On the palate, it is balanced, round and indulgent, with a fruity finish. This wine is best enjoyed within the year following its production and can be served chilled, at 14°C in summer, as an aperitif or with grilled meats, hearty salads, white meats or pizzas.
