Description
Côte du Ventoux AOP – La Camarette – Rosé embodies the fresh, elegant and authentic style of the Ventoux appellation. Grown on the foothills of Mont Ventoux, the estate benefits from clay-limestone soils and a climate in which the heat of the sun is balanced by altitude and steady breezes, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly and harmoniously for an aromatic, lively rosé.
This wine comes from a classic blend of southern grape varieties, mainly Grenache, Syrah and sometimes Cinsault. Winemaking begins with direct pressing after an early-morning harvest, to preserve freshness and primary aromas. The must is cold-settled, then fermented at low temperature in stainless steel tanks. No malolactic fermentation is carried out, in order to retain all the tension and aromatic purity. Maturation on fine lees for several weeks adds a subtle texture to the wine.
Visually, it stands out with a pale, bright colour with a slight salmon tint. On the nose, this rosé develops intense aromas of wild strawberries, redcurrants, white melon and wild flowers. On the palate, it is lively and balanced, carried by lovely freshness and a saline finish that prolongs the pleasure.
