Description
Arnaud Boué founded his house in 2018 in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, after some ten years spent at several Burgundy estates and vintages in New Zealand and South Africa. He seeks fresh, precise wines that let the terroir speak rather than overripeness, and works with organically grown grapes.
This Gevrey-Chambertin comes from the Combe de Lavaux sector, where the diversity of soils and alluvial deposits give the wine complexity. Long maceration, then 16 months’ ageing in previously used barrels.
The nose combines ripe red fruit, sweet spices and flowers; the palate is structured and balanced, with lovely acidity, refined tannins and an elegant finish. Can be cellared for around ten years.
