Description
Discover the pure elegance of the Altesse grape with this emblematic cuvée from Domaine Yves Duport, located in the heart of the Bugey. Made 100% from Roussette, a native Savoyard grape variety, this dry white wine is grown on the clay-limestone slopes of Montagnieu, a unique terroir rich in marine fossils that brings minerality and finesse.
Farmed under certified organic agriculture, with environmentally friendly biodynamic practices, the vineyard is worked by hand and the grapes are harvested manually with rigorous sorting. In the cellar, vinification is natural: direct whole-bunch pressing, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, then ageing on fine lees for nearly a year, without lees stirring or unnecessary additions.
On tasting, the Altesse de Montagnieu charms with its pale colour with silvery tints and its delicate nose of white fruit, mountain flowers and mineral notes. On the palate, freshness and tension dominate, carried by a long, saline finish. With time, the wine gains in richness, revealing aromas of honey, beeswax and dried fruit.
Ideal as an aperitif or with fish, seafood, poultry in sauce or mature cheeses, this gastronomic white wine also has excellent ageing potential (up to 10 years).
A great terroir wine, authentic and alive, embodying the spirit of the Bugey and the expertise of Domaine Yves Duport.
