Description
Spring blonde beer – Subtle, floral and thirst-quenching
Type: Light floral blonde | Top-fermented | Alc.: 4.5% vol
IBU: 15–18 | EBC: 8–10 | Original gravity: ~1.044 | Final gravity: ~1.008
Crafted as a thirst-quenching seasonal beer, this spring blonde is built on a dominant Pilsner malt, complemented by a small proportion of malted wheat to round out the palate and improve head retention. Top fermentation at a moderate temperature (18–20°C) encourages the production of light fruity esters, without excess.
What makes this brew original is the addition of dried elderflowers, infused after the boil. This technique extracts complex volatile compounds reminiscent of white peach, acacia honey and spring floral notes.
The hopping is deliberately restrained (a noble variety such as Strisselspalt or Tettnang), just enough to balance the malty sweetness without dominating the aromatics.
The result: a clear beer with a pale blonde colour (8–10 EBC), very lightly sparkling, with a dry, floral and very thirst-quenching finish. Its moderate alcohol (4.5%) and drinkability make it an ideal choice for summer or for sipping on a terrace.
