Description
From a vineyard farmed organically on the heights of the Collines de la Moure, Tour de Main is a red wine that is at once honest, gourmand and committed. Made by the Vigne de Cocagne — a solidarity-based wine project based at Domaine de Mirabeau — it wonderfully embodies the generosity of the Languedoc terroir and the desire to make wine a vehicle for social connection.
Terroir & grape varieties
The plots lie on well-drained clay-limestone slopes, exposed to the maritime influences of the Gulf of Lion. This terroir preserves freshness and allows the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly.
The cuvée is made from Merlot.
Viticulture
The vines are managed according to the principles of organic farming: mechanical soil cultivation, controlled natural grass cover, and plant-protection treatments limited to products approved for organic use. The estate is also strongly committed socially, training and providing work for people who are far from employment.
Winemaking & maturation
The harvest takes place at optimal ripeness, by hand or by machine depending on the plot.
The grapes are destemmed and then vinified in concrete or stainless-steel vats, with a short maceration (8 to 12 days) to bring out the fruit without excessive extraction.
Fermentations use indigenous yeasts, and the wine is then aged for a few months in vats, without oak, to preserve its freshness and easy-drinking profile.
Tasting

Ideal with simple, hearty dishes: grilled meats, roast vegetables, Mediterranean cuisine or a charcuterie board.
