Terrasses du Larzac AOP – Mas des Agrunelles – La Marèle – red

51,90 €

Here is the estate’s gem. One of the greatest wines of the Languedoc! The plots lie on Jurassic limestone at an altitude of 230 m, facing north-west. The grapes are picked by hand and vinified traditionally: Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, with each plot vinified in a separate vat. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration.

Excessive drinking is harmful to your health. Please drink responsibly.

Description

The La Marèle plots, on Jurassic limestone in Argelliers, enjoy a cool microclimate that gives the wines a northern character.

Hand harvesting and traditional winemaking. Fermentation with natural yeasts and ageing in terracotta vessels. No filtration or refining.

Tasting notes: blackberries, tobacco, soft tannins, mushrooms, good ageing potential

This cuvée can be drunk now, provided it is opened at least 2 hours in advance or decanted. It can be cellared with confidence for 10 to 15 years.
